I am Claudia Bakker, the voice behind Reina Palabra.

I’m a Dutch writer and translator, helping brands shape their message in English with clarity, nuance, and impact.

My background is rooted in language and storytelling. I’ve been writing creatively from a young age, and over the years, that evolved into more structured work: editing books and TV reviews, writing articles for web magazines, working as a reporter, and producing podcasts where I was responsible for both content and narrative.

Writing is my life.

I studied to become an English language teacher at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where I achieved C2 level. This gives me a strong foundation, not just in the English language itself, but in how it’s used, taught, and understood.

These experiences shaped the way I work today. I pay close attention to tone, rhythm, and clarity, but also to how a message is received. Because effective communication isn’t just about being correct; it’s about making something feel natural, intentional, and aligned with your audience.

That’s why my work goes beyond translation. I combine language with copywriting to ensure your content doesn’t just read well in English – it lives.

My experience has been cultivated in tech and e-commerce brands that are ready to grow beyond their Dutch-speaking market; who understand that strong language plays a key role in that growth.
